frequently asked questions
Trying to decide whether to sell or donate your gown? Have questions about the process? See some frequently asked questions and our answers below!
should i sell or donate my gown?
There's no wrong decision here! Either way, your gown will be passed on for another bride to enjoy!
Many of us spend thousands of dollars on our gowns, including alterations, etc., so there's nothing wrong with wanting to recoup some of that investment after the wedding day. At Bridal for All, we think it's a win-win situation to buy your pre-loved gown - you get to make a little money, and the bride we sell it to gets it at a reduced price!
If you just want to clean out some closet space and don't need to make any money on your dress, you can donate it instead of selling it. ALL donated gowns go directly to The Fairy Godmother Project, and will be given to a bride in need at NO COST, regardless of the retail value of the dress!

what happens to my gown if i sell it to bfa?
If you sell your gown to us, it will be eligible for resale as part of our off-the-rack selection. It may also be given to a bride in need through The Fairy Godmother project.
what happens to my gown if i donate it?
As mentioned above, ANY gown that is donated will become a part of The Fairy Godmother Project, and will then be donated to a bride in need. This program is intended to do good in our community by turning the generosity of brides like you into a dream come true for a bride who may not have been able to afford a wedding gown otherwise. We do not profit off your donated gowns in any way! If you would like to learn more about this program and how it works, click here.
how much will bfa pay for my gown if i choose to sell it?
The price we can offer you for your gown will be based on a number of favors, including:
Condition of the gown
Style of the gown (whether it will have broad appeal)
New retail price of the gown
Current market value/pricing for this gown pre-owned
Whether alterations have been made that would be difficult to undo

my gown is new with tags and has never been worn - will that make a difference in how much bfa will pay for it?
Brides end up with new and unworn dresses for a variety of reasons - weight loss, pregnancy, wedding canceled due to Covid/family emergency/engagement being called off, and most commonly - they just found something they loved more!

Yes, a dress that is new and has never been worn will typically receive a higher offer, depending on the other factors listed above.
what form of payment will i receive?
We can pay you for your gown with cash, or through Venmo or Paypal!
